Important keywords

Being a self made website developer and search engine optimizer, I can say that I know very little about how to get ranked high in the search engines.  So here is a quick summary of everything that I have learned.

Writing Content pages.

Be honest.  Write pages that come from your heart.  I have found that some of the most successful pages are the ones that I just simply wrote what I thought.  I think that sometimes when optimizing our websites we get too caught up with keywords and density and stuffing and what not.

Pick a theme that you want to target.  Do a search on the web for information and write a 500 to 600 word page about that theme.  As in my example on my ideas page I wrote a page entitled Used Laptops.  I posted the page on one of my laptop websites as an experiment.  That page has successfully sent many customers to my online store.

Yes I used some keywords in this page to try and get search engine traffic.  Specifically I was looking for visitors looking for used laptops.  So I have a short list of keywords and phrases as well as groups of keywords to help in creating content pages for your website.  I did a search on www.wordtracker.com to find some great popular phrases that have great potential.

Keep in mind that this is one short paragraph.  You might want to write an entire page about Dell Laptops in general.  I can say that your efforts will be worth it.  Just think about the cost of one laptop.  If the sale price on the Dell Latitude C610 is $475 the commission at 5% would be $23.75.
